Jeff Pruitt says it best on this one...

In an earlier post Jeff Pruitt posted the following comment:

"The Democrats (Nancy Pelosi) have pledged a pay-as-you-go strategy. If they do not adhere to this then I would fully expect the American voters to throw them out in the next election. I believe very strongly that this is a new Democratic party that's going to sweep into power. I believe this new influx of candidates will begin to take over the party for the better. I know some of you might not agree but we'll see what happens... "

This is exactly the kind of voter America desperately needs. Jeff is a Democrats with some Libertarian in him...

Nancy Pelosi is pledging to balance the budget.

Tim Zank then posts:

"Jeff, that's just lip service to get elected...her history is not one of fiscal conservatism... "

I do not know if it is lip service or not. What I do know is the Republican Party has expanded Government faster then ANY time period since LBJ. That is a fact. The largest expansion is the prescription drug benefit which has an unfunded current liability of almost 20 TRILLION dollars...

I prefer that the American people wake up and elect Libertarians, Independents, Greens, Reform, and Constitution Party candidates...

Unfortunately the lobby groups in this country and the special interest groups will not allow that to happen until our country is in worse shape then it currently is...

If I have to choose between a Democratic Congress and a Republican Congress I will choose the Democratic one at this time. Bush is a Republican and can veto bad bills like increasing the Federal minimum wage...

Jeff Pruitt is right on many things and this is one of them. I also think that if Nancy Pelosi expands government and goes back on her promise then Jeff Pruitt will not back her in two years...

That is what America needs to do, hold politicians accountable...

And with any kind of luck, we'll all still be alive to watch Jeff not vote for her again. Now I feel better.

You cannot honestly believe that a few terrorists in caves are a threat to America...

The largest threat to America is from our own Government and possibly from China...

Tim, it is a lot harder to build a backpack nuke than a regular one. Keep in mind that it took a B-29 (the largest plane in the world in 1945) to carry Little Boy (the smallest nuke in the world in 1945) to its target.

The only way for terrorists to get a backpack nuke is to steal it from the Russians. If the Russians are too poor to guard their nuclear arsenal properly, they are also too poor to maintain it properly. They haven't built any new ones in at least 15 years. Backpack nukes do not pose a credible threat.

Well, if we leave the current crop in charge then there's a good chance they will continue to post nuclear weapon designs on the internet. Perhaps the terrorists don't have internet access...

Robert, forgive my naivete' as it pertains to nuclear bombs. I guess my analogy should be rephrased to be more realistic...how about a dirty bomb and 30,000 dead? How's that grab ya?

Jeff, good retort, though I still think I'd rather take my chances with an administration more prone to kick ass and take names than an administration that would lick ass and take names.
