My property tax appeal was resolved within ten days.
To make a long story short; they have lowered my assessed value by $17,700.
I spent about an hour on my appeal and a couple hundred bucks to hire a professional appraiser...
I will make my investment back within several months. Having my property assessment lowered by $17,700 will save me several hundred dollars this year alone. More importantly it will save me money in future years as well due to the new "trending" policy the our Legislators enacted...
I highly suggest that you appeal your property taxes if you feel that your property has been assessed at to high of a value.

Somebody I work w/ had their property appraised at over $50k more than they paid for it two years ago. He too had his resolved in short order and it was lowered even below the value he supplied.
It seems like the appeal system is working very well...
Mike, how do you go about appealing your tax? I would like to investigate this. Thanks for the info!
Basically you go to the County Assessors website and download a one page Appeal form that is in excel.
This form is easy to fill out.
I then contacted an Appraiser who them came out and appraised my property.
My appraiser then emailed me a 17 page report with the value of my property.
I turned around and email this and my excel spreadsheet to the County Asessor...
