There was a direct mail piece in my mailbox today.
AWB over at Fort Wayne News has an elaborate post about the direct mail piece.
Believe it or not, the focus of the piece is that Mark Souder endorses Nelson Peters; therefore, Republicans should vote for Nelson Peters.
If you are interested in the Republican Primary for Mayor please go and check out AWB's post and leave some comments:

Readers of this blog know that I would not vote for Mark Souder unless he was running against Senator Kennedy from Massachusetts or a candidate equally as poor...

For some reason Mike, I dont think you will view this mailer the same way as Republican primary voters. This is a huge endorsement for Peters.
As someone who voted Republican for the past 17 years, it is precisely WHY I won't vote for Nelson Peters.
I agree. I think this takes the wind out of Mr. Kelty's sails...
Kelty is the nicest guy. He just wont be a good mayor. This is why so very few support him
Souder's popularity in Fort Wayne is dropping. He lost to Hayhurst within city limits. This endorsement doesnt mean as much as it would have a few years ago.
He did not run against HAYHURST in a Republican Primary!. He absolutely trounced Paul Helmke just a few years back in a republican primary. It is a whole different animal. Souder has an incredibly strong base and that is why he will be our congressman as long as he wants to be.
We are the GOP. Resistance is futile.
Mark Souder is a waste of space as our congressman...
I have to wonder out loud why your Blog gets so many anonymous posters, Mike. I'd bet one of them is Sam, but not all of them.
It's probably the same reason Indiana Pundit has so many anonymous posts...
Some people do not have the confidence in their opinions or ethical conviction it takes to sign their names to their crap comments.
Angry WB.
I dont post anonymously (at least not on purpose). You should no better.
There have been a couple times on this blog where I have failed to put "Sam T." at the end of my post and I dont have enough blog savvy like yourself to figure out how to fix it. The one above with the reference to Hayhurst is one such example.
I stand behind my opinions on this blog and I dont think even you can question me on that.
Do I seem like the type of guy who shys away from expressing my opinion?
Sam T.
On that note, I sincerely doubt if Sam T. is the Troll.
Maybe Mark Souder is the troll. He REALLY supports Peters and has time on his hands since the "Reagan on the dime/Mount Rushmore proposal" died.
Mark Garvin
Angry White Boy.
If I could possibly make an observation. This is one of my first times frequenting this website and I saw your post concerning people who post comments anonymously. Isn't that precisely what your doing? Yes, you have given yourself a fake name, but really, your true identity to most of if not all of the readers of this website is completely anonymous. So, I fail to see where you have any right to comment on that. Have a nice day
NELSON PETERS WANTS TO TAKE YOUR GUNS AWAY!!!
and until he states a position on the 2nd amendment, and who his police chief will be to approve or turn down gun permit licenses, I will keep making this statment of fact until proven otehrwise.
Peters HQ is in the Helmke law office. Helmke is a "brady Nazi"
if a+b=c, then ....
Roach,
Is there something wrong with you? Do you need some medication? Instead of making false accusations, why don't you do some homework! Can someone give this guy a sedative?
Nelson Peters wants to take your guns away
dear anonymous:
google "nelson peters wants to take your guns away"
grind up 2 dozen peach pits. boil them . drink them. shut up.
Prove I'm wrong. Mr. Peters is avoiding this issue like the plague. and identify yourself.
I'm just trying to add an imprortant issue that will sink the Peters campaign. whats wrong with that? We all have our opinions. god bless america. god bless our constitution. And god bless the 2nd amendment.
