Another corrupt politician

There is no shortage of corrupt politicians in Washington DC.

Mr. Jefferson is the latest to be indicted, please read more:

This guy has been caught red-handed and is certainly guilty. He needs to be thrown out of Congress as soon as possible.

Nancy Pelosi promised to run "The most ethical Congress in history." To date our current Congress is no more or less ethical then our previous several Congresses.

Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats should immediately join the Republicans and give Mr. Jefferson "the boot."

This one's been a long time coming. I think most Democrats were upset that the guy was re-elected after the investigation started. Makes you wonder what the hell is going on in New Orleans...

Jefferson's re-election reminds me of the near re-election of Jim Trafficant of Youngstown, OH. Trafficant was behind bars on election day! And he still got around 40%, if memory serves!

But I agree with Mike Sylvester: Nancy Pelosi could send a strong signal by moving to remove Jefferson from his Committee post and call for his resignation. It would give substance to her campaign trail rhetoric about "ending the culture of corruption".

I think the events of the last couple years reveal New Orleans to be the most corrupt city in the USA. Chicago's reputation breathes easier thanks to New Orleans.

They've already removed him from Ways & Means, and it sounds like he'll be removed from the rest by Friday.

I like what John Stewart said (and I'm paraphrasing):

"This is one way to get Republicans to pay attention to black people in New Orleans."

Right,

I'd say they've recieved plenty of attention. About $100 BILLION DOLLARS worth of attention.
