Karena went on a rant last night

It is fairly normal for me to go on a rant, my wife is another story entirely.

We are all sick. My wife and both kids are fairly sick; I just have a little of it. So Karena (My wife) went to Walgreens to get some cold medicine. They had those stupid cards since they can no longer leave the actual cold medicine on the shelf.

She decided she wanted night-time and day-time cold medicine for the kids and then normal day-time cold medicine for herself. So she gathered all of the cards and went and stood in line. When she got to the cash register they told her that she could not buy that much cold medicine. They told her she could only buy TWO boxes of cold medicine...

So she bought two and left... She was NOT pleased...

This is a great example of our government at work. Of course this is NOT going to stop Meth production; we all know that. The only people who think it will stop Meth production are politicians (Especially Mark Souder). This is a STUPID law from our nanny state. It is AMAZING to me that it was passed by Large Government Republicans...

WHAT MORONS...

P.S. Does ANYONE who reads this blog think this is a good law? If so please leave a comment because I want to hear from you.

No, I've been pissed off about this already as well...

We all know that domestic Methamphetamine manufacturing only accounts for a very small percentage of the U.S. Meth market...

Souder would have you believe that meth production is the #1 issue facing every midwestern state. I mean what would happen if you could buy medication OTC? Complete anarchy I tell you.

But remember we're winning the war on drugs - I hear the dealers are in their last throes...

Perhaps when Rumsfeld resigns he can bring his expertise

Actually it looks like these new laws kind of work. The number of meth labs being found have gone down considerably, at least here in Noble County. It was pretty much an every-other-day occurence to hear about a meth lab being found, but now it's pretty rare.

I don't have any numbers to back that up, but my perception is that something has changed.

I hope that you can find some statistics to back that up Craig. I would recommend that you NOT get them from The Drug Enforcement Agency! They have a vested interest in making everyone think they are winning the war on drugs...

If Meth use goes down THEN THIS MAY be an accpetable law. I do not believe it will.

I am looking forward to looking at some statistics on this when they come out.

What's to stop meth-makers from just traveling store to store, or employing associates to gain the amount of OTC drugs needed to make thear wares?
