LPAC NEWS ALERT: CITY NEEDS SANDBAG VOLUNTEERS

The Fort Wayne Street Department has issued an alert with general request for citizens to help with filling sandbags at the Central Terminal located at 1701 Lafayette Blvd. @ Murray (north of Wallace Street just south of the Main Post Office and RailRoad trussel). They are taking volunteers until they are done. Those whom choose to volunteer may call ahead by dialing 311 to get further instructions.

BATTLING THE FLOOD


CITY OFFICIALS HAVE MADE PREPARATIONS TO ADDRESS THE FLOODING BECAUSE OF THE RECENT WET WEATHER. SANDBAGGING IS UNDERWAY AT THE ROSS-MICHAELS AREA AT SUPERIOR STREET, WOODHURST NEIGHBORHOOD, BERRY AND THIEME, AND THE NIPSCO PARKING LOT. CREWS HAVE ALSO SET UP SAND AND BAGS FOR YOU TO MAKE YOUR OWN IF NEEDED. LOCATIONS FOR THESE ARE:
PORTAGE MIDDLE SCHOOL: 3521 TAYLOR STREET
BROADVIEW FLORIST: 5409 WINCHESTER ROAD
TAYLOR UNIVERSITY: 1025 W. RUDISILL BLVD
SOUTHWEST CONSERVATION CLUB: 5701 BLUFFTON ROAD
