Just don't do it again

Government spending can create short term economic gains at the cost of future taxes increases, inflation, and more debt. We may very well see some improvement this year, but we will pay the price of this stimulus package over time. Congress should refrain from passing another package even if this one yields some results. We cannot keep using the same short term fixes over and over again.

Think of it this way. If you have a car that has to be jumpstarted every couple of days, then you need to address the underlying problem. It might seem like a bigger hassle to fix the alternator or replace the battery, but it saves you a lot of grief in the long run.
