Dallas
The murder of five police officers in Dallas was an act of terrorism. It was an act of violence intended to send a political message. As far as I can tell as of this writing, Dallas police responded properly to this act of terrorism.
The murder of innocent black people by police officers are acts of tyranny. These are acts of violence where the perpetrators use their positions of authority to escape repercussions. I propose that shooting by local police departments be investigated on the state level.
Terrorism and tyranny are two sides of the same coin. One often leads to the other, creating a vicious cycle that can spin out of control for years. Terrorism and tyranny are both equally wrong and must be universally condemned.
