It's not that hard.

2. The Founding Fathers were born as British subjects. Being a former citizen of another country should not be a barrier to being President.

3. You have to show your birth certificate? I don't even know where mine is. Documents like Social Security cards can be used to establish citizenship when applying for a job.

4. So he can't remember what hospital he was born in. People don't remember their own birth, and must learn the details of their birth from their parents. I would not have known that I was born in Oak Park Hospital if Mom didn't tell me. If he was lying, he would have said that he was born in a hospital that doesn't exist anymore.Robert Endershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15592475828737641009noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11887973.post-27443779223361837322008-12-16T22:05:00.000-05:002008-12-16T22:05:00.000-05:00The issue in the case is not burden of proof but w...The issue in the case is not burden of proof but who has the golden ticket of "legal standing" to bring the lawsuit in the first place. That so far is the only way the Courts have been able to nulify the cases and they still have at least 14 to go through. What is really sad is the definition of Standing has become so strict that I think the only person who could win standing at this point is Barack himself and even he may get thrown out in his bid to have a Statement Of Facts made by the Court which is legally binding.

Robert your first comment was rude, your second comment was ill informed. Hawaii never said he was born there they just said they have a certificate of live birth, which at the time doesnt mean natural born citizen on US soil. Obama and his sister dont even know which hospital he was born in but the paternal grandma sure does assert that she was there in Kenya when he was born just down the road.

This would be a non issue if he was just forthright about everything and not create false documentation to try to cover up the truth. All we want from him is the truth. The consequences are now on him for covering this up for so long.

Even the people of Kenya declare him to be their native son. And the fact that he flew on an Indonesian passport when he was an adult proves he at least has dual citizenship at some pointe which means conflicted allegiance and that is exactly what our Founders wanted to avoid.

I have to provide my birth certificate to prove I am a citizen every time I apply for a job or medical insurance or food stamps. Your argument is flawed and incorrect in its presumptions.F6's Editorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00245610947948998790noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11887973.post-86013458563427192672008-12-09T23:22:00.000-05:002008-12-09T23:22:00.000-05:001. The question of Obama's citizenship has already been resolved. Hawaii says he was born there. "Overwhelming evidence" would be valid documentation or physical proof that he was born outside the US.

3. How would you like it if people demanded your birth certificate to prove you were a citizen? The Constitution prohibits "bills of attainder", or the removal of citizenship. If someone insists that a person living here is not a citizen, the burden of proof should be on the accuser.Robert Endershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15592475828737641009noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11887973.post-52712353352880041342008-12-09T21:55:00.000-05:002008-12-09T21:55:00.000-05:00Let's deal with some more important issues...
