Lousy workers are never disciplined. Poor teachers are protected. Students falling behind are "socially" passed to the next level. Nobody cares that there were never any weapons of mass destruction. The government is just a microcosm of the entire society.

I'm one of the few people I know who try to hold people accountable. If you're work is not up to par then I tell you. If Circuit City screws me over and the store manager won't fix it then I never shop there again (had to get that off my chest). If I don't agree w/ Wal-Mart's business decisions then I don't shop there. If Target refuses to give people emergency contraceptive then I don't shop there.

My elected government does not get a free pass. Too many people refuse to look at the big picture IMO. They just figure that things aren't too terrible for them so why rock the boat. That is a dangerous attitude...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11887973.post-1142656401936057522006-03-17T23:33:00.000-05:002006-03-17T23:33:00.000-05:00I am very upset with The Republcians as well John;...I am very upset with The Republcians as well John; but, the Democrats are part of the problem as well.

They keep telling Bush to spend more on Education, Health Care, etc...

MikeLP Mike Sylvesterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06918776704117318033noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11887973.post-1142654685430005622006-03-17T23:04:00.000-05:002006-03-17T23:04:00.000-05:00The next time someone attempts to slam Bill Clinto...The next time someone attempts to slam Bill Clinton for anything, point to the numbers, and then punch them right in the nose. But that has nothing to do with the question. The power of collecting and disbursing money at pleasure is the most dangerous power that can be intrusted to man, particularly under our system of collecting revenue by tariff, which reaches every man in the country, no matter how poor he may be, and the poorer he is the more he pays in proportion to his means. What is worse, it presses upon him without his knowledge where the weight centers, for there is not a man in the United States who can ever guess how much he pays to the government.William Larsenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08351786693708618654noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11887973.post-1142595307779378382006-03-17T06:35:00.000-05:002006-03-17T06:35:00.000-05:00Amen, brother.
